We score every country
Seven dimensions, each from 0 to 100, using official data such as World Bank indicators and 30-year climate averages.

With the reasons, the trade-offs, a surprise pick, side-by-side comparison and a what-if simulator.
Who it's for
Anyone, anywhere, wondering where life might fit them better: students choosing where to study, professionals weighing a move, families looking for safety and good services, remote workers chasing a climate, and retirees after calm and lower costs.
Dream Mode compares lifestyles only. Reality Mode adds practical checks on savings, languages, qualifications and family, and links to each country's official immigration website. Neither mode is a visa assessment.
How matching works
Each country gets a score per dimension. Your answers shift the default weights, and your three non-negotiables get extra weight (no dimension can go above 35%). A country that scores badly on one of your non-negotiables loses up to 40% of its total.
| Dimension | Default weight |
|---|---|
| Climate | 15% |
| Affordability | 20% |
| Career | 15% |
| Safety | 15% |
| Lifestyle | 15% |
| Nature | 10% |
| Language | 10% |

Data sources and limitations
- Income, prices, household spending, jobs, safety, health and environment: World Bank World Development Indicators and Worldwide Governance Indicators (CC BY 4.0).
- Climate where people live: NASA POWER 2001–2020 averages for each country's main city, plus the World Bank Climate Change Knowledge Portal country average.
- Languages, English use, public transport, coast and mountains: Dareecha editorial notes, shown as such on each country page.
- National averages hide big differences between cities and regions, and data is one to three years old. Scores compare countries with each other; they are not a guarantee of anything.

Questions
How does the WorldMatch quiz choose my countries?
Your answers set what matters to you: climate, budget, career, safety, lifestyle, nature and language. Each country gets a score from 0 to 100 on each of these, using official data such as World Bank indicators and 30-year climate averages, and the scores are combined using weights that your three non-negotiables increase.
Is the match percentage the chance I will be happy there?
No. It shows how closely a country's measurable features match the preferences you gave. It is a starting point for research, not a prediction of happiness or success.
Does WorldMatch tell me if I can get a visa?
No. Dream Mode only compares lifestyles. Reality Mode adds practical points such as language, savings and qualifications, but only a country's official immigration authority can decide whether you qualify.
Do you store my answers?
Your answers stay in your browser so you can resume the quiz. They are sent to our server only to calculate your matches and are not saved. If you share a result, only the country list and match scores are stored.
Why are only 50 countries included?
We only add a country when its data is complete and recent enough to compare fairly. More countries will be added as their data is checked.
