About Dareecha and how we check information

Dareecha (دریچہ, "window") answers the everyday questions people in Pakistan search for: today's gold and petrol price, prize bond results, visa requirements, scholarships, government schemes, fees and taxes. Clear answers, in plain English with Urdu, taken from official sources.
Who runs Dareecha
Dareecha is run by Shahzaib Anwar, a digital transformation manager based in Lahore, Pakistan. Over 15 years in Pakistani industry, Shahzaib has moved from supply chain and operations into digital marketing and, since 2025, digital transformation: building business systems and AI automation used every day by more than 240 people across 19 departments.
Shahzaib studied journalism at the University of the Punjab, holds a BBA from Nur International University, Lahore, and is completing an MBA in project management. He also holds the Google Project Management and Google AI Essentials certificates, and certificates in digital transformation from the University of Virginia and BCG.
He started Dareecha because simple, correct answers to everyday questions in Pakistan, like today's gold rate, a passport fee, a prize bond result or a scholarship deadline, were hard to find among outdated posts and rumours. Every figure on Dareecha is taken from the official source and linked, and pages show when they were last checked.

Where our numbers come from
Every rate, fee and date on Dareecha comes from the organisation that sets it, and every page links to that source. Where we read a figure automatically, it is checked against limits and against the previous figure before it is shown, and anything unusual waits for a person to look at it.

How we write and check pages
- Official sources first. We do not copy rates or lists from other websites. If the official source is down, the page keeps the last checked figure and says when it was checked.
- Dates on every page. Pages show when the information was last checked, and calculators show the date of the rates they use.
- Estimates are labelled. Expected Eid dates, calculated cylinder prices and similar figures are marked as estimates until they are official.
- No guarantees we cannot give. We never promise a visa, scholarship or scheme approval, and we warn against agents who charge for “guaranteed” results.
Corrections
If something on Dareecha is wrong or out of date, please tell us through the contact page with the page link and the official source. We check reports and correct pages as quickly as we can, and update the “checked” date when we do.
Independence, ads and partners
Dareecha is an independent website. It is not a government website and is not connected to OGRA, National Savings, NADRA, any board, university or embassy. The site is paid for by advertising (Google AdSense) and a few clearly marked partner links, such as the Fintiba blocked account for students going to Germany. Partners never decide what we write, and ads are labelled.
Your privacy
- Bill checks open the company's own page; we never see or store your bill.
- Saved items (“My plan”) stay in your own browser.
- Email reminders and browser alerts are opt-in, and every message has a way to stop it. For browser alerts we keep only the technical address your browser gives us, not your name or email.
