Questions
How is the cost of living compared?
We use the World Bank's price level of household goods and services for each country (how expensive everyday life is compared with the United States) and today's exchange rates. Your amount is converted, then scaled by the ratio of the two price levels.
Does this include rent?
The price level covers all household spending, including housing, food, transport and services, as an average for the whole country. Rents in big cities such as Dubai, London or Toronto are usually much higher than the national average.
Is this the salary I would earn there?
No. It shows what you would need there to live as well as your amount allows at home. Salaries depend on your job and qualifications.
