Study in Saudi Arabia from Pakistan

Checked October 9, 2026 against official sources

Saudi Arabia is a natural choice for many Pakistani students thanks to its close religious and cultural ties, a large Pakistani community, and fully funded government scholarships. Its universities include well-ranked institutions in science, engineering, medicine and Islamic studies. Applications and scholarships are handled through the Ministry of Education's Study in Saudi Arabia platform, which also leads to the educational visa. Students can study in Arabic or in English, depending on the programme.

What are the requirements for a Saudi student visa?

For the long-term educational visa you must be 16 or older, hold a passport valid for at least 6 months, have admission from an accredited Saudi institution, show financial ability or a guarantee, and provide a medical report, medical insurance and proof of proficiency in the language of study.

Can I study in Saudi Arabia in English?

Yes, depending on the programme. Saudi universities teach in Arabic or English, and you must prove proficiency in the language of your programme. Students who come to study Arabic itself are exempt from this requirement.
