The Islamic University of Madinah gives full scholarships to non-Saudi students living outside Saudi Arabia for free full-time undergraduate study. It includes a monthly stipend, housing, meals and yearly travel help. Applications go through the Ministry of Education's Study in Saudi Arabia platform.

Deadline: Closed for 1448 AH; the last window was 19 April - 21 May 2026. It usually opens in spring each year.

Who can apply

For non-Saudi students living outside Saudi Arabia; the university welcomes students from over 170 countries, including Pakistan.

General secondary certificate (science stream for science faculties), obtained within the last five years.
Age 17-25.
Good conduct, a police clearance certificate and medical fitness.
A recommendation from a recognised body, institution or scholar in your country.
No previous scholarship from a Saudi institution and no disciplinary dismissal elsewhere.
Faculty of the Holy Qur'an requires memorisation of the whole Qur'an.
Science faculties teach in English and need proof of English proficiency.

Full scholarship holders must not stay in Saudi Arabia after graduating and must return home.

How to apply

Register on the Study in Saudi Arabia platform (studyinsaudi.sa).
Choose the Islamic University of Madinah and your programme.
Upload all required documents during the announced window.
Pass any tests or interviews the university announces; the university has no agents.
Monitor your registered email, which is the official channel for admission and visa steps.
If admitted, take the Arabic placement test if the university asks you to.
