How 117 works
117 is a short code. Dial it from a mobile or landline without any city code. Pakistan Railways treats 117 as its inquiry office. Its complaints list even includes "non attendance of telephone" at the 117 inquiry office as a complaint type, with a target of one week to resolve.
When you call, have these ready:
- Train name or number (for example 15 UP or 41 UP)
- Date of travel
- Your ticket or booking number, if you have one
Station inquiry numbers (Lahore, Gujranwala, Pattoki and others)
Many people search for the direct numbers of stations such as Lahore, Gujranwala or Pattoki. Pakistan Railways keeps an official telephone directory on its Contact Us page. You choose a division (for example Lahore, Rawalpindi or Karachi) and a designation to see the numbers.
We could not confirm individual station numbers for this update, so we have not listed them. Old station numbers on other websites are often out of date. For a station inquiry, call 117 first. You can also use the directory on the official site, or visit the station's reservation office.
Pakistan Railways runs computerised reservation offices at many stations. Its official list includes Lahore Cantt, Lahore (HQ), Gujranwala, Pattoki, Raiwind, Okara, Sahiwal, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Lalamusa, Gujrat, Multan Cantt, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, Rohri, Karachi City, Karachi Cantt, Hyderabad, Quetta and Peshawar.
