Telenor is now part of Ufone
PTCL completed its purchase of Telenor Pakistan in late 2025. Trade press reported that Telenor Pakistan stopped being a separate company on 1 July 2026 and was merged into Ufone's company, PTML. Reports said billing systems and SIMs will be moved over in stages.
Your Telenor SIM still works during this change. But codes, fees and the advance service may change as systems are combined. If a code below stops working, check the My Telenor app or the helpline.

- Open the dialer and choose your Telenor SIM.
- Dial *0# and press call.
- Read the reply. It should tell you the amount on offer and what you must pay back.
- Confirm only if the terms are clear. The loan is added to your balance.
- When you next recharge, the loan and the fee are cut from that recharge.

Who can use it
Based on the third-party sources above, the usual rules have been:
- It is for prepaid customers only. Postpaid users cannot take an advance.
- You can have only one loan at a time. You must recharge and repay it before taking another.
- It is meant for when your balance is very low. If you still have enough balance, you may not be offered a loan.
- PhoneWorld reports the loan stays valid for 30 days.
Things to know before you take a loan
- The fee is high for the size of the loan. A Rs 4 fee on a Rs 15 loan is more than 25%. Use it only when you really need it.
- Your next recharge will be smaller. If you recharge Rs 100, the loan and fee come off first.
- Turn on Balance Save first. If mobile data is on and you have no bundle, the advance can disappear on internet charges. The PTA lists *342# as Telenor's free Balance Save code. It stops data when your bundle ends.
- Check for unwanted services. Value-added services can also eat into a small balance. The PTA says Telenor users can view and stop them with *4444#.
Other ways to get balance in an emergency
- Ask someone to send you load through a retailer or a mobile wallet app.
- Recharge yourself through the My Telenor app or your bank or wallet app, if you have one.
- For calls only, ask a contact to call you back.
