TU Dresden is a large public comprehensive university in Saxony, rooted in engineering but also covering natural sciences, medicine, humanities and social sciences. Saxony has no general tuition fees, so most students pay only the semester contribution.

English requirementEnglish-taught master's programs set their own English requirement (see each program in SINS) and need no German. German-taught programs require a German test for university admission at level C1 (e.g. DSH, TestDaF, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, DSD II).
