TUM is a public technical university in Bavaria with campuses in Munich, Garching, Weihenstephan, Straubing and Heilbronn, best known for engineering, natural sciences, informatics, medicine and management. Since winter semester 2024/25 it charges tuition to newly enrolling students from non-EU countries, alongside a small semester fee paid by everyone.

English requirementFor English-taught programs: IELTS 6.5 overall (Academic or Online Academic); TOEFL iBT 88; PTE Academic 65. Program regulations may set other rules; TOEFL MyBest not accepted; Duolingo not listed. Many bachelor's programs are taught in German and need German proficiency.
