UNSW International Scientia Coursework Scholarship

UNSW's leading award for international coursework students recognises academic merit, leadership and extracurricular involvement. Winners receive either full tuition or AUD 20,000 a year towards tuition. You apply through the combined PUCA1029 application for Term 1, 2027.

What it covers

  • Offer 1: full tuition fees for the minimum duration of the programme
  • Offer 2: AUD 20,000 per year towards tuition fees for the minimum duration
  • Invitations to UNSW networking events and entry to the UNSW Professional Development Program

Who can apply

Open to international students, including Pakistanis.

  • You must be starting full-time study in a UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree in Term 1, 2027 (UNSW Online and UNSW Canberra excluded).
  • You must have an offer of admission by 30 October 2026 (unconditional, certain conditional offers, or a UEEC English package offer).
  • Applicants with pending Year 12 results may still apply, but awards go only to those with an unconditional offer.
  • Selection is based on academic merit, leadership, extracurricular activities and your reasons for choosing UNSW.

How to apply

  1. Apply for admission to UNSW and get an offer for Term 1, 2027.
  2. Register on the UNSW Scholarship Application Online portal.
  3. Submit the application PUCA1029 (UNSW Scholarships for International Students Commencing Term 1, 2027); this also covers the Scientia award.
  4. Answer the questions on leadership, activities and motivation before 30 October 2026, 11:59 pm AEST.
