Sydney International Student Award

The University of Sydney gives a 20% tuition fee reduction for the whole course to international students from selected countries, and Pakistan is on the official list. You apply by submitting a short personal statement as part of your admission application.

Deadline: No separate deadline; the award is applied for within the admission application for 2027 commencement.

What it covers

  • 20% of tuition fees for the duration of the course (applied to the offer, not paid in cash)

Who can apply

Pakistan is named on the list of eligible countries.

  • You must be an international student (not an Australian or NZ citizen or Australian PR).
  • You must be admitted to a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree starting in 2027.
  • You must meet the University's entry requirements and submit the personal statement.
  • You cannot have already started a degree at Sydney (except when applying for a second degree).
  • Not available for MBA, Executive MBA, study abroad, executive education, distance-mode courses or the Law Dual Degree pathway.

To keep it, you must have no outstanding fees and study full-time within your CoE timeframe.

How to apply

  1. Apply for admission to an eligible Sydney coursework degree as an international student.
  2. Applicants from eligible countries are prompted to apply for the Award during the application.
  3. Upload the personal statement on the official template (three sections, up to 200 words each).
  4. If successful, the 20% reduction appears in your offer letter.
