Bilkent University Scholarships for International Students

Bilkent offers international undergraduate applicants tuition waivers from 20% to 100%, based on high school grades and national or international exam scores. A few top full-waiver students may also get free accommodation. The scholarships carry no future obligations.

What it covers

  • Tuition waiver of 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% or 100%
  • Accommodation scholarship for a limited number of top full-waiver students
  • Up to 4 semesters in English Prep and 10 semesters in a 4-year programme

Who can apply

Open to international applicants (non-Turkish citizens), including Pakistanis. People who hold or have held Turkish citizenship are not eligible.

  • Assessed on high school grades, national/international exam scores, programme choice and other academic criteria.
  • To keep the waiver: take at least the minimum course load and keep an annual GPA of 2.00/4.00 (2.50 for accommodation).
  • Attendance is mandatory, and disciplinary action can reduce or cancel the award.
  • Later merit scholarships are possible for top non-scholarship students (GPA 3.30+, top 5%).

How to apply

  1. Apply for undergraduate admission to Bilkent as an international student.
  2. Request financial assistance (scholarship consideration) in your application.
  3. Submit high school records and exam scores (e.g. SAT, A-Levels, IB or national exams).
  4. Your scholarship level is shown in your admission decision.
  5. Check your admission letter for the scholarship level offered.
