How to Check Your Zong Number: Codes, App and Helpline (2026)
Check your own Zong number by dialling *8#, using the My Zong app or calling 310. Also see how to check how many SIMs are registered on your CNIC through PTA's 668 service.
The quickest way most people check their own Zong number is to dial *8# from the Zong SIM. Your number usually shows up on screen in a few seconds. Zong does not list this code on its website, so if it does not work for you, use the My Zong app or call the Zong helpline 310.
Checked on 23 October 2026. Operators change codes and prices often; confirm in the official app before subscribing.
Method 1: Dial a USSD code
This is the method people use most, because it needs no internet.
- Open the phone dialer. If you have a dual-SIM phone, pick the Zong SIM.
- Dial *8# and press call.
- Your number appears in a pop-up message.
Many guides also mention *100# for the same thing. We could not find either code on Zong's official site, so treat them as commonly used shortcuts, not official ones. Codes on Pakistani networks change from time to time. If you get an error or a menu you do not recognise, stop and use one of the methods below.
Old guides, including an earlier version of this page, said *2# shows your number. We could not confirm that, so we no longer recommend it.
Method 2: Use the My Zong app
The My Zong app is Zong's own self-service app for Android and iPhone. According to Zong, you register by entering your number without the first zero (for example 31XXXXXXXX). Zong then sends a PIN by SMS.
That means you need to know your number to register. The app is still useful if you have more than one Zong SIM. Zong says you can link up to five Zong numbers to one account, so you can see all of them in one place. Once you are logged in, your number is shown in the app along with your balance, usage and active bundles.
Method 3: Call the Zong helpline
If nothing else works, call 310 from your Zong SIM. Zong's contact page says the line is open 24 hours a day.
- You first reach an automated voice menu (IVR).
- Zong charges Rs 2 + tax for each call that is connected to a customer services officer.
- From another network or a landline, you can call Zong's UAN (051) 111-222-111. Normal call charges apply.
Keep your CNIC ready. The agent may ask a few questions to confirm the SIM is registered to you.
Method 4: Call or message someone you trust
Call a friend or family member from the Zong SIM, or send them an SMS. Your number will show on their phone. This costs the price of one call or SMS, so you need a little balance or a bundle.
Method 5: Check the SIM packaging
If you still have the card that the SIM came in, the number is usually printed on it. This only helps if the SIM has not been replaced since.
How to check how many SIMs are on your CNIC
Many people who search for their Zong number also want to know which numbers are registered in their name. The PTA runs a service for this. It covers all networks, not just Zong.
| Method | What to do |
|---|---|
| SMS | Type your 13-digit CNIC number without dashes and send it to 668. You get a reply with the number of SIMs on each network. |
| Website | Visit the PTA SIM Information System at cnic.sims.pk, enter your CNIC and submit. |
The reply shows how many SIMs each operator has on your CNIC. It does not list the full numbers. If you see a SIM you do not recognise, visit a Zong franchise or service centre with your original CNIC to block it. The PTA's cyber-crime guidance tells people to check this regularly and block any SIM issued without their knowledge. Using a SIM registered to someone else is an offence in Pakistan.
