TU/e Scholarship for Excellence: Shaping the Future of Microchip Innovation

TU/e's merit scholarship for highly talented international students entering selected Master's programmes linked to microchip technology. It pays €7,500 per year for two years; about 15 of the roughly 35 awards go to non-EEA students.

What it covers

  • €7,500 per academic year for two years, paid in monthly instalments
  • For non-EEA students, part of the first year is funded through the NL Scholarship

Who can apply

Open to international students, including Pakistanis (15 places reserved for non-EEA students).

  • You apply for a full-time eligible TU/e Master's programme or track starting 1 September 2027.
  • You meet the programme's admission requirements.
  • You have a non-Dutch high school diploma or bachelor's degree and have not completed higher education in the Netherlands.
  • You have excellent results: GPA of at least 7.5/10 on your latest transcript.
  • You can meet Dutch visa and residence permit requirements.
  • Not for JADS joint programmes or European double degrees.

It is very competitive (about 2% of applicants succeed) and does not cover the full cost of study.

How to apply

  1. Apply for an eligible TU/e Master's programme or track.
  2. In the application, confirm you want to be considered for the scholarship and add a short motivation.
  3. Submit the complete application by 1 January 2027, 23:59 CET.
  4. The International Office checks eligibility and a committee ranks candidates.
  5. Selected students are informed by the end of March 2027 and sign a scholarship agreement.
