LUMS National Outreach Programme (NOP)

Running since 2001, NOP finds talented students from across Pakistan who cannot afford LUMS and brings them to its undergraduate programmes on full financial assistance. Students first attend a two-week Summer Coaching Session at LUMS, then compete in normal admissions.

Deadline: The SCS application deadline for the 2027 intake was 10 March 2026, with documents due by 13 March 2026. Applications usually close in March.

What it covers

Fully funded scholarship for LUMS undergraduate study (full financial assistance)
LUMS pays the admission application processing and test registration fees
Summer Coaching Session expenses at LUMS (meals and accommodation; travel not covered)

Who can apply

At least 80% marks in Matric, or equivalent in O-Levels.
Demonstrated financial need, reviewed every year while you study.
Apply while in the first year of Intermediate or A-Levels. Students attending the 2026 coaching session can join LUMS in 2027.
Open to students from anywhere in Pakistan, with no regional or ethnic quotas.
Attending the Summer Coaching Session does not guarantee admission. NOP applicants meet the same admission criteria as everyone else.
Students not shortlisted can still get need-based aid through regular LUMS admission and financial aid.

How to apply

Apply online for the NOP Summer Coaching Session (SCS) at nopscs.lums.edu.pk and submit your documents by the deadline.
If shortlisted, attend the two-week SCS at LUMS in July-August.
If successful, apply for LUMS undergraduate admission online. LUMS covers the application and test fees.
Take the LUMS admission test.
Admitted students who pass the financial assessment become NOP Scholars.
