Coastal Region Higher Education Scholarship Program for Balochistan

The programme offers 50 undergraduate scholarships per batch to students from Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Turbat) and Awaran, 200 in total across four batches. Awards are for BS study at HEC-recognized public or private universities, and selection uses an ETC test and district quotas.

Deadline: The Batch-IV provisional merit list has been published. Any future batch will be advertised by HEC.

What it covers

Tuition fee and other charges (including hostel) up to Rs. 240,000 per year or actual
Living allowance of Rs. 15,000 per month
Book and travelling allowance of Rs. 30,000 per year
Up to Rs. 5,000 per month for accommodation where no university hostel is available

Who can apply

Domicile/local certificate of Gwadar, Lasbela/Hub, Kech (Turbat) or Awaran district.
SSC and HSSC (or equivalent) both completed at institutions in these districts, each with at least 50% marks.
Maximum age 22 on the closing date, with no relaxation.
Students already enrolled in a BS programme may apply if they are within their first year or session. Students awaiting results may not.
Must meet HEC and university admission criteria. Professional programmes also follow council rules.
Not holding any other HEC or government scholarship.
At least 50% in the ETC test. Merit is SSC 10%, HSSC 40% and test 50%, with district quotas.

Apply online at scholarship.hec.gov.pk. Hard copies are not needed at this stage.
Pay the Rs. 500 test fee through 1Link 1Bill and click 'Verify Online Payment'.
Submit the complete application and take the ETC test.
If selected, secure admission yourself, sign the agreement and give a surety to receive the award letter.
