IBA Karachi Need-Based Financial Assistance and National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP)

IBA Karachi offers need-based tuition scholarships, interest-free Qarz-e-Hasna loans and fee instalments to admitted students. About 41% of students received financial assistance in 2024-25. Its National Talent Hunt Program (NTHP) is a fully funded three-week orientation that prepares bright, needy students from across Pakistan for IBA's aptitude test.

Deadline: The NTHP Stage 1 deadline for the 2027 admission cycle was 11 March 2026, and Stage 2 closed on 30 April 2026. Need-based FA is applied for each academic year in the window IBA announces.

Who can apply

Need-based scholarships:

You must have secured admission at IBA. You cannot apply before admission.
Only full-time morning programme students who can't manage fees through instalments or Qarz-e-Hasna.
Undergraduate aid runs for up to eight consecutive semesters. Repeated, withdrawn and remedial courses are not covered.
Graduate students can also apply. You can hold only one donor-funded scholarship at a time.

NTHP (Admission Cycle 2027): financially deserving students with 80% or more in SSC-II (2025). Not eligible: anyone who has taken any IBA aptitude test or plans to sit in the Fall 2026 cycle, or who has attended another university's or NGO's orientation programme.

How to apply

NTHP: complete the one-page Stage 1 form at nthp.iba.edu.pk. If selected, complete Stage 2 with documents.
Financial assistance: after admission, apply online at ibaapps.iba.edu.pk/financialassistance during the period announced on IBA's FA page.
Attach the standard documents listed in the form.
Reapply at the start of each academic year.
