Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships (GOI-IES)

• Domiciled outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the UK (Pakistani students qualify).
• A conditional or final offer for a master's, postgraduate diploma or PhD (NFQ level 9 or 10) at an eligible Irish higher education institution.
• Not a previous GOI-IES holder.
• Russian and Belarusian nationals are not eligible.
• Selection is based on academic record, personal statement and references.

Note: the award covers one year only. For a longer PhD you must fund the remaining years yourself or through other sources. Apply for admission early, because proof of an offer must be uploaded with the scholarship application.

1. Get an offer from an eligible Irish higher education institution.
2. Complete the GOI-IES online application when the call opens.
3. Upload proof of admission and arrange two references through the portal.
4. Submit before the deadline. You cannot edit the application afterwards.
5. Outcomes are announced in early June, and winners confirm their place with the Irish institution.
