EPFL Master Excellence Fellowships

EPFL gives a limited number of excellence fellowships worth CHF 10,000 per semester to outstanding students starting a Master's, along with a reserved student room. Anyone applying for an EPFL Master's can be considered by ticking a box on the application form.

Who can apply

The official page says anyone applying to a Master's programme at EPFL is eligible, so Pakistani graduates can apply.

You apply for one Master's programme in that year.
You do not already hold, and are not enrolled in, an EPFL Master's.
Selection is based on academic excellence, qualifications and motivation, plus achievements in research, entrepreneurship or civic activities.
It cannot be combined with other substantial scholarships.
To renew it for the second year you need an average of at least 5.0/6 and at least 50 ECTS.

The fellowship does not separately pay tuition; you manage tuition, rent and living costs from it.

How to apply

Apply through EPFL's online Master's application form.
Tick the box asking to be considered for an excellence fellowship.
Pay for and validate your application by 15 December.
Referees upload recommendation letters within about a week after the deadline (date given in your confirmation email).
Selected candidates are notified in late March.
