Sciences Po's merit scholarship for top first-time applicants from outside the European Union. At Master's level it gives a €18,500 tuition exemption for each of the two years; at Bachelor's level a full or €9,500 exemption.

Master's: 19 October (1st committee, results before 30 December) or 30 November (2nd committee, results before 2 March). Undergraduate (foreign schools): 20 January in the 2026 cycle.

What it covers

  • Master's: €18,500 tuition fee exemption per year for two years
  • Bachelor's: full exemption or €9,500 exemption from tuition fees

Who can apply

Pakistani applicants are eligible as nationals of a non-European Union state.

  • You are a first-time applicant to Sciences Po and are admitted to the Undergraduate or Master's programme.
  • Your household does not file taxes in the EU.
  • You do not hold an EU dual nationality.
  • Not open to one-year Master's, most Master's dual degrees, journalism Master's, PhD or exchange students.

It is awarded on merit through the admission review. It cannot be combined with other Sciences Po scholarships but can be combined with external ones such as Eiffel. Deferring admission cancels it.

How to apply

  1. Apply online for an eligible Sciences Po Master's or Bachelor's programme.
  2. In the Financial information section of the application, indicate that you are applying for the Émile Boutmy scholarship.
  3. Attach your language test if applicable.
  4. Submit before the deadline; admitted students are considered and results are published after each admissions committee.
