CUHK Admission Scholarships for Non-local Undergraduates

CUHK gives merit-based admission scholarships to new local and non-local undergraduates, including international students with any qualification that meets entry requirements. Awards range from HKD 5,000 to full tuition, and some add a yearly allowance. No application is needed.

Deadline: No separate deadline; consideration is automatic with the undergraduate admission application.

What it covers

Scholarship from HKD 5,000 up to full tuition

Possible University Exchange Scholarship of HKD 10,000-80,000 for exceptional entrants
One-off awards of HKD 50,000-214,000 for non-local students excelling in sports, music, art, science or technology

Who can apply

Open to non-local students from any region with academic qualifications that meet CUHK's undergraduate entry requirements, which covers Pakistani applicants.

You must be a new full-time undergraduate admitted to CUHK.
Awards are based on excellent academic or non-academic performance.
CUHK identifies qualified students itself and tells them about offers.
Some government-funded schemes (e.g. Belt and Road Scholarship) are limited to named countries.

Many recipients are also named Honours at Entrance. Donor-funded admission scholarships, such as the Hong Kong Jockey Club awards, may have their own conditions.

How to apply

Apply for undergraduate admission to CUHK via the non-JUPAS / international route.
Submit strong academic results and evidence of non-academic achievements.
No separate scholarship application is needed; selected students are informed of offers.
Keep your results and achievement certificates ready in case CUHK asks for them.
