IPOET scholarships give a 75% tuition fee waiver to first-year Master's applicants from non-EU/EEA countries who pay fees in Sweden. Strong first-year students may get 85% off in year two. About 33 awards were offered in 2026.

Who can apply

Available to citizens of non-EU/EEA countries who must pay tuition fees in Sweden, so Pakistanis can apply.

  • You are applying for the first year of a Chalmers Master's programme (current students cannot apply).
  • You have applied at universityadmissions.se and have your application number.
  • Selection is based on academic excellence: mainly a weighted average grade of at least 80%, plus your university's standing (including global rankings) and the priority you gave Chalmers.

No money is paid out; the award is a fee reduction only, so you must fund the rest of the fee and living costs.

How to apply

  1. Apply for a Chalmers Master's programme at universityadmissions.se.
  2. Use your application number in Chalmers' separate scholarship application, open from late November 2026 to mid-January 2027.
  3. Submit by the scholarship deadline, which matches the programme application deadline.
  4. Follow the Chalmers scholarship regulations to keep the award for the second year of study.
