CEU in Vienna gives merit-based financial aid to candidates from any country. Master's students can get 50-80% off tuition (full only in exceptional cases) and a €300-750 monthly stipend; PhD applicants are considered for full tuition plus a €2,002 gross monthly stipend for 48 months.

What it covers

Master's Tuition Award: 50% to 80% of the tuition fee (full only in exceptional cases)
Master's Stipend Award: €300 to €750 per month
Doctoral Scholarship: full tuition plus €2,002 gross per month for 48 months
Bachelor's: up to 50% of tuition (max. €4,000 per year)

Who can apply

CEU states that candidates from any country can apply for financial aid, so Pakistanis are eligible.

You apply to a full-time CEU degree programme and tick interest in financial aid in the Funding section.
Aid is awarded on academic merit.
Institutional aid for Master's is only given in the first two admission rounds.
Candidates from visa-sensitive countries (long visa processing) may only apply in Round 1.

You need official transcripts and a diploma in English and an accepted English test (TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or Cambridge). PhD stipends are taxable in Austria.

How to apply

Pick your programme and check its specific requirements.
Complete the CEU online application with all documents.
In the Funding section, indicate that you want to be considered for CEU financial aid.
Submit by the Round 1 deadline (15 October 2026), or Round 2 (2 February 2027) if allowed for your country.
Any aid awarded is shown in your Study Agreement.
