Frequently asked questions

Where do I apply for a KP police certificate?

KP Police asks applicants to apply in their own districts according to the permanent and present addresses on the CNIC. If you have more than one address, you need your record verified at each relevant police station before applying.

Can I collect the certificate through someone else?

KP Police instructions say applicants must personally visit the Police Access office to collect the certificate after giving a signature and fingerprints. If you are abroad, a blood relative can submit the application with the special overseas stamp paper.

What is the 10-point affidavit?

It is a sworn statement on stamp paper, attested by an Oath Commissioner, that you submit with your application. Your local police station staff and the circle DSP then confirm your criminal record status on the back of the same stamp paper.

Does KP Police publish a fee for this certificate?

The KP Police instructions page does not list a fee. Ask at your district Police Access office before you go, so you are prepared for any stamp paper or processing charges.
