Travel · Checked October 9, 2026 against the official source

Travellers leaving Pakistan may need proof of polio vaccination, and some countries ask for it with visa applications. The official certificate is issued through the National Immunization Management System (NIMS), run by NADRA for the Ministry of Health, once your vaccination is recorded.

Where to applyOnline at nims.nadra.gov.pk ('Other Vaccination') or at a NADRA centre, after vaccination at an official vaccination point.

Step by step

  1. Get the polio vaccine (Oral Polio Vaccine or IPV) at an official government vaccination point so that the dose is recorded in NIMS against your CNIC (or CRC for children).
  2. Open the NIMS portal (nims.nadra.gov.pk) and choose 'Other Vaccination'.
  3. Enter your CNIC number (or CRC number using the 'CRC holder' option), CNIC issue date, select the vaccine (Oral Polio Vaccine or IPV), your mobile number and operator, and complete the code check.
  4. Pay the certificate fee by debit/credit card or at an e-Sahulat franchise.
  5. Download and print the certificate, or obtain it from a NADRA centre. Foreign nationals use the separate link on the same page to download their Polio/Yellow Fever immunisation certificate.
