Seoul National University is Korea's leading national university, with its main campus at Gwanak in Seoul. The academic year starts in spring, but international students can be admitted for both the spring and fall semesters at undergraduate and graduate level. Applicants prove proficiency in either Korean or English.

English requirementEither Korean or English proficiency. English: TOEFL iBT 80 (a score of 4.0 for tests taken on or after 21 January 2026), IELTS Academic 6.0 or TEPS 269. Scores must be obtained on or after 9 July 2024. TOEFL MyBest and iBT Home Edition are accepted, but TOEFL ITP is not. IELTS One Skill Retake and IELTS Online are accepted, but IELTS Indicator is not. Korean alternative: TOPIK level 3.
