Documents to bring
- Current passport - Plus copies of photo pages and visa stamps from old passports
- Marriage or civil partnership certificate - Or other proof of relationship (joint bills, tenancy), less than 4 years old
- Partner's status proof - British passport, settlement proof or eVisa share code
- Proof of income - 6 months of payslips, bank statements and an employer letter on headed paper
- Savings evidence - If using cash savings above £16,000
- English language proof - A1 SELT or an Ecctis-assessed English-taught degree
- TB test certificate - Required for applicants from Pakistan
- Divorce certificate - If either of you was married before
- Parents' details - Dates of birth and nationality (needed when applying from outside the UK)
- Certified translations - For any document not in English or Welsh
