- Current passportPlus copies of photo pages and visa stamps from old passports
- Marriage or civil partnership certificateOr other proof of relationship (joint bills, tenancy), less than 4 years old
- Partner's status proofBritish passport, settlement proof or eVisa share code
- Proof of income6 months of payslips, bank statements and an employer letter on headed paper
- Savings evidenceIf using cash savings above £16,000
- English language proofA1 SELT or an Ecctis-assessed English-taught degree
- TB test certificateRequired for applicants from Pakistan
- Divorce certificateIf either of you was married before
- Parents' detailsDates of birth and nationality (needed when applying from outside the UK)
- Certified translationsFor any document not in English or Welsh
