- Passport - Pages showing photo, personal details, issue and expiry dates
- National identity card (CNIC) - If you have one
- Bank statements - Itemised personal statements for a 3-month period
- Other proof of funds - Pay slips, tax records, term deposits or credit card statements
- Employer letter - Stating you will return to your job
- Invitation letter - From a relative or friend in Australia: relationship, purpose, length of stay
- Host's proof of funds - If the host is paying for your stay
- Travel plans - Your plans while in Australia
- Proof of ties to Pakistan - Study, immediate family, house or other major assets
- Name change documents - Marriage certificate or similar, if applicable
- Birth certificate and Form 1229 - For applicants under 18 not travelling with both parents
- English translations - All non-English documents, with the translator's details
