Questions
Why did my PDF not get smaller?
PDFs that are mostly text are already small, and some files use image types that are kept unchanged. Scanned documents and photo-heavy PDFs shrink the most, often by 50 to 90 percent.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Dareecha's PDF engine runs in your browser. Your files are read and saved on your own device, and nothing reaches our server.
Why does it say my PDF is password-protected?
Encrypted PDFs (for example some bank statements) cannot be changed without the password. Open the file with its password, choose Print, then "Save as PDF" to make an unlocked copy, and try again.
Are bookmarks and form fields kept?
The pages, text, images, fonts and links between kept pages are copied exactly. Bookmarks, fillable form fields and digital signatures are not carried into the new file.
How big can the files be?
There is no fixed limit; it depends on your device memory. Files up to a few hundred MB work on most computers; phones are best below about 100 MB.
