- Valid passportValid for the whole stay; include old passports showing travel history
- Travel plan and accommodation detailsDates, where you will stay and estimated trip cost
- Bank statementsMust show the source of funds and that you can access them
- Employment letterOn company letterhead, showing role, salary and length of employment
- Business registration / invoicesIf self-employed, to show ongoing business
- Student enrolment letterIf studying, from your institution on letterhead, confirming leave of absence
- Invitation letterFrom a host, business or event organiser, if applicable
- Sponsor documentsIf someone else pays: their funds, your relationship to them, and their UK status
- Child documentsBirth certificate, parent's passport copy and consent letter if under 18 and travelling without a parent
- Certified translationsFor any document not in English or Welsh, with the translator's details and signature
